When we define networking, it is a set of things that work together. If one of those things fails, it affects the work of all the others. The solution is to fix that thing or replace it with a new one.
Computer networking is one of the best inventions that humans have ever made. The whole world is connected by computer networking, such as the internet, local area networks, cloud computing, and the Internet of Things (IOT).
All different sectors of society such as health, business, agriculture, education, and the military are working on networking, so it is essential that we gain a good understanding of networking.
Most networking consists of three types: LAN, MAN and WAN.
• If the network is limited to an office or workplace, it is called a Local Area Network(LAN), which means that this network is limited to that area only, and cannot be accessed from outside.
• If the network is spread throughout the world, which means that this network facilitates communication between all people in different places, it is called a Wide Area Network (WAN) or Internet.
• If there is a network that consists of the two types mentioned above (LAN and WAN), it is called a MAN (Metropolitan Area Network).
